Wendy Miller, DO is an Osteopathic Physiatrist.  She is now devoting most of her time to providing patients with the unique benefits of Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) from the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation perspective in the Tucson area. She has additional OMT training beyond what is offered in medical school, internship, and residency including Osteopathy in the Cranial Field and other intensive coursework. She trained in the only medical school with an acupuncture course and practiced during residency and is completing additional intensive coursework in medical acupuncture.

By popular demand, she is planning to add acupuncture to her outpatient practice soon!

Dr. Miller was considered a non-traditional student. She originally graduated college as a Licensed Veterinary Technician, but when her youngest daughter was in Kindergarten, she started going back to school to be an Osteopathic Physician.  She had an early introduction to the medical world with surgeries as a young adult and though appropriately treated by the standard of care of the traditional allopathic (MD) medical community, she was left to deal with the effects of her condition and surgery on her own.  She knows what it is like to be dismissed by doctors.

She knew Osteopathy offered something more and chose Osteopathy from both MD and DO medical school acceptances. She graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed a traditional rotating internship as Chief Intern at Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon, MI and served as Chief Resident in her final year of residency at Michigan State University Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in East Lansing, MI.

Dr. Miller is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has simultaneously served as medical director of two acute hospital inpatient rehabilitation units as well as maintaining an outpatient OMM and general rehabilitation clinic.

Dr. Miller is married, has 3 beautiful daughters, 2 grandchildren, a son-in-law in the US NAVY, and a very old rescued Beagle.

As you can see from this website, Dr. Miller is anything but traditional. She believes the body has the ability to heal itself, and though she does use traditional medicine when needed, she thoroughly enjoys helping the body heal itself with alternative treatments including OMT, cranial osteopathy, acupuncture, nutrition, activity, and other natural means. She started Mountain Osteopathic to provide Osteopathic Manual Medicine and acupuncture services from a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation perspective to people recovering from acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.

Yes, all of the photography on this website is Dr. Miller's own locally produced artwork!
